Dispatch, G Love & Special Sauce, Donavon Frankenreiter, John Butler, Coco-Cola Roxy:This impressive multi-artist bill is headed by the roots rocking Dispatch, a band whose eclectic sound is strongly influenced by reggae, as the title track to their latest album, Yellow Jacket, shows. Longtime Australian rocker Butler, who assists on Dispatch’s album, brings his own band. Frankenreiter is another roots veteran, heavier on upbeat, sunshiny pop. And anyone who hasn’t yet experienced Garrett Dutton’s (G.Love’s) sassy mixture of hip-hop and blues will thrill to just how effectively that combination connects.
