Steven Wilson, Tabernacle — If prog-rocking Porcupine Tree frontman Wilson did nothing else other than remix classic prog and rock albums from the ‘70s and ‘80s into stunning surround sound, he would be a major figure in music. But he also has a thriving solo career, one started between other projects in 2009, that has made him one of the most respected musicians in a cult genre. His expansive and enthusiastically creative audio and visual revelations have yielded a smattering of contemporary classics, including the recent The Overview. His shows have always been eye-popping combinations of progressive rock and ambitious optical extravagances with this one pushing even his established sprawling envelope.
