The Bird City Revolutionaries blend reggae, dub, Afro-funk, Ethiopian jazz, and psychedelic grooves to create a sound as dynamic and diverse as their members. Formed in October 2011, the band brings together veteran musicians from some of Atlanta’s most beloved reggae, dub, and jazz projects, resulting in a genre-defying musical experience. Bird City was born from the creative synergy of multi - instrumentalist and songwriter Julian Scott Bryan, bassist Larry Thomas, and guitarist Saude, longtime collaborators in Atlanta’s reggae and dub scene. Drawing on their experiences with I-Tegrity and The Ruination, the trio began writing and jamming, eventually expanding their lineup with trusted friends and fellow musicians. Daniel Labrador, a former bandmate of Julian Scott’s in 3052 Dub Collective, brought his signature guitar style to the mix.
