From the rituals that surround chocolate to the aesthetics of bonbons, the artistry of chocolate sculpture, the look of wrappers, the feel of a finished bar, and the processes of manufacturing, BITTERSWEET: The Design of Chocolate explores how design influences every stage of chocolate’s journey.

Tracing chocolate’s evolution through packaging, advertising, and innovation, the exhibition reveals how design can preserve tradition, promote sustainability, and drive change. Featuring the work of contemporary designers, ethical makers, and global changemakers, BITTERSWEET invites us to see how thoughtful design—like chocolate—can delight the senses while shaping a more just and beautiful world.
