Join the Georgia State University Wind Orchestra for an evening of powerful and evocative music in “Inspiration.” Conducted by Prof. Devin Reid and guest graduate conductor Julianna Pinero, this concert features a diverse program of wind ensemble works. Highlights include Ellen Taaffe Zwilich’s Fanfare, James Curnow’s lively Rejouissance, and the serene Grace Before Sleep by Susan LaBarr, conducted by Pinero. The program also includes Aaron Perinne’s introspective Only Light and concludes with Francis McBeth’s epic Of Sailors and Whales, a captivating musical journey filled with vivid imagery and sweeping melodies.
