Science in Action: Crafting Clear Messages for Broader Impact

Your work is important and can make a difference in many people's lives. But first, they have to know about it, and second, they have to be able to use it. Science for Georgia has been helping to get science out of the lab and onto the streets for over five years. In this webinar, we will focus on identifying who your audience is, why your research is relevant to them, what the main recommended actions are, and how they can implement lessons learned. We will walk through an example of creating a pithy one-pager based on a recent publication, and how you can discuss the one-pager with physicians and patients. By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to: identify the relevant audience for your research, discuss with physicians and/or patients concrete action items based on your research, and create a pithy one-pager summarizing lessons learned and action steps.
