The Cult with special guest Patriarchy

The Cult/Death Cult, Patriarchy, Cobb Energy Center — This unique tour pairs the hard-rocking metal The Cult has been churning out since 1984 with the more goth, post-punk music of their previous, short-lived incarnation as Death Cult (hardcore fans might remember the earliest version, Southern Death Cult). Both iterations feature the same core players (frontman Ian Astbury and guitarist Billy Duffy) and have new-ish releases, so this is a somewhat logical if non-traditional bill where a group opens for themselves. The dark techno of Patriarchy gets the evening rolling. — Hal Horowitz
