Southern Culture on the Skids, Three Arch Obolers, Star Bar - Even the members of SCOTS probably can't count how many times they have played this venue since their 1991 inception. Regardless, it's always a chicken-lickin' party as they slather on their typically saucy combination of sleazy, greasy Southern rock and rolling, soul, surf, boogie, pop and funk, smothered and covered with swampy goodness for this two-night stand. After 35 years blowing the doors off this joint, they remain the gold standard for a spirited style few others bother to, or can, emulate. Both shows will sell out so get in line early and prepare to camel walk with your best friends who have attended every other SCOTS gig. - Hal Horowitz
