Dyke Desires: A Lesbian Visibility Day Open Mic

Join us for Dyke Desires, our annual open mic in celebration of Lesbian Visibility Day! We had such a good time with y'all last year, we had to come back for seconds! 
Join us for an open mic designed for your lesbian poetry, short fiction, music, and dyke drama (no judgement)! Bring us your recountings of love at first sight, U-Haul woes, piercing and tattoo chronicles, staying besties with your ex, kinky explorations, and Subaru adventures - we want it all! 
We will have a sign-up sheet for readers and performers available at the front at 6:00pm. The open mic will begin at 6:30pm ET. Each reader will have 3-5 minutes to share. 
This open mic will be hosted by Phoenix YZ! Phoenix YZ (published as P.D. Battle) is an author, civic leader, and performance poet currently residing in Atlanta, Ga. In addition to cultivating music, theatre, and literature, to ignite social change she is also an emcee, a former member of nationally competitive slam teams,  and a devoted curator and contributor of community arts engagement efforts throughout the southeast.
The event is free and open to all people, especially to those who have no income or low income, but we encourage and appreciate a donation of $5-20 in support of the work of Charis Circle, our programming non-profit. Charis Circle's mission is to foster sustainable feminist communities, work for social justice, and encourage the expression of diverse and marginalized voices. Event guidelines:

All attendees must wear a face mask during the event.
We will begin seating people at 6:00PM EST. Open mic sign up will begin at 6:00PM EST. The open mic will begin at 6:30pm ET.
As a reminder: If you are not feeling well, please do not come to the event.
