James Richards

James Richards is an Atlanta-based singer and multi-instrumentalist who brings his classically trained voice and "Blue Ridge certified acousticfunkgrass" style to campfires, benefit concerts, and intimate venues. Influenced by Nina Simone, Otis Redding, and Peter Gabriel, he has shared stages with artists like Peggy Seeger, Ellis Paul, and David Lamotte. After living in Brooklyn and Asheville, James has performed at notable venues including Eddie’s Attic, Joe’s Pub, and the Hard Rock Cafe. He also volunteers with Musicians on Call, sharing music’s healing power in hospitals. Originally from a farm in Paris, Kentucky, James creates music rooted in connection rather than commercial ambition.
