Will Charlie Murphy share more True Hollywood Stories at The Punchline?
He's Charlie Murphy, bitch!
Performing at The Punchline on April 7-10, Charlie Murphy found fame not so much by escaping his brother's shadow as embracing it. He's most famous for his war stories about being in brother Eddie Murphy's entourage, particularly with the "Charlie Murphy's True Hollywood Stories" re-enactments on "Chappelle's Show," which debuted in 2004. Murphy's descriptions of his run-ins with "Superfreak" singer Rick James — featuring Dave Chappelle's catch-phrase launching impersonation ("I'm Rick James, bitch!") and commentary from the real Rick James — became the stuff of legend.
I predict that in a decade or so, someone will do the same for Charlie Sheen.
