First Slice 5-20-16: Hartsfield-Jackson TSA agents don't want you to win

And a local transgender performer's death is being blamed on illegal silicone injections

The world's busiest airport is trippin'. As Hartsfield-Jackson's security checkpoint lines get longer and longer, TSA officials are discouraging passengers from hopping over to the international terminal where the waits are estimated to be as short as 15 minutes. Good luck with that, TSA. 

Invest Atlanta is ready to get busy on the $450 million mixed-use redevelopment of the Atlanta Civic Center. The Houston-based developer Weingarten Realty Investors is planning to construct 677 apartments, 250 condos, nearly 130,000 square feet of retail space, which will include a grocery store, and 250,000 square feet of office space on the 19-acre plot of land over time.

Apparently, that Porsche headquarters south of the city is designed so purdy it won some high-fallutin award already. 

Westside Provisions District is about to gain some available space. Around March 2017, Bacchanalia and Star Provisions are expected to move about mile further west to Ellsworth Industrial Boulevard.

And in sad news, illegal silicone injections are being blamed for the death last November of local transgender performer Lateasha Shuntel, aka Lateasha Hall. The woman accused of her death, Deanna M. Roberts, allegedly pretended to be a medical professional.
