Checking in at Morelli’s

Morelli’s was swarming last night, right up to it’s 10 p.m. closing. A rapid visit here is rare. The exotic variety of flavors causes people to ask for multiple sample tastes, slowing service to a crawl. But I like to watch. I particularly enjoyed seeing people lick a sample of coconut-jalapeño. One woman’s comment — “It hurts so good” — summed up the reactions of most.

I stuck with my usual ginger-lavender, which has been absent my last few visits. I haven’t yet run into the maple-bacon-brittle the shop’s website mentions. I want it. Sort of.
