  • Local farmers markets to host chef demos

We know there’s a lot of stuff going on in Atlanta when it comes to food, and we also know you may have a hard time deciding what to do in a short weekend, so we’ve rounded up some of this week’s best events around the city.

The good people at CWPR are hosting seven days of delicious lunch and dinner deals at local hot spots like D.B.A Barbecue, STK, The Albert, and __Sun in my Belly. Deals on these meals will range from $15-$35.
On the home-grown front, a few of our favorite farmers markets are hosting chef demos from local food gurus. East Atlanta Village Farmers Market will be introducing chef Seth Freedman, owner of Forage & Flame on Thurs., June 21 at 6 p.m. Freedman’s Forage & Flame offers personalized culinary services like culinary coaching, hands-free dinner parties, and farm to school trainings. The culinary educator will demonstrate his talents with local ingredients.

Over on the south side, Grant Park Farmers Market will be hosting a chef demo with Cakes & Ale’s Billy Allin on June 24 at 11:30 a.m. Allin and his wife modeled Cakes & Ale after their basic dining philosophy of using high-quality ingredients to produce unassuming foods. The chef will be using creativity and local seasonal ingredients to demonstrate a variety of dishes.__
