The Sh-Booms, Orlando, Florida’s six-piece garage, soul, and rock ’n’ roll explosion hits Little Five Points like a bomb on Saturday night. Led by the stunning and charismatic wail of singer and front woman Brenda Radney, the group summons the sounds of a timeless dance party channel 1960s class and places it in the here and now. The Sh-Booms share the stage with Gringo Star, who celebrates 10 years of life on the road and in the trenches. Raise a glass in honor of this Atlanta psych rock staple that always brings a party to the room.

With Gringo Star, the Woolly Bushmen, Deadly Lo-Fi, and DJ Poppin' Pietro. $10. 9 p.m. Sat., Jan. 21. The Star Bar, 437 Moreland Ave. www.starbar.net.
