It’s become common to see young actors and actresses dominating the television and film industry — yes, we’re pointing fingers at the Stranger Things kids. That being said, it’s hard to ignore the contributions and innovations they’ve provided in the industry. The American Youth Film Festival returns for another year to support up-and-coming filmmakers with four days of commercials, feature-length films, and documentaries all produced by the nation’s youthful film enthusiasts. This year’s festival features 77 entries, with 42 states and eight foreign countries. Come by Thursday, June 14 and Friday, June 15 to view the official selections, and maybe exercise a little of that inner-child jealousy. Winners will be announced Saturday, June 16 at White Oak Kitchen & Cocktails, located at 270 Peachtree St. Free-$150. Multiple showtimes. Wed.-Sat., June 13-16. The Westin Peachtree Plaza, 210 Peachtree St. www.americanyouthfilmfest.org. 404-659-1400 .
