Rules for gun owners are being loosened further after an announcement by Gov. Brian Kemp on Wednesday. More Georgians will be allowed to carry concealed weapons without a state permit, which fulfills a campaign pledge he made in 2018. “In the face of rising violent crime across the country, law-abiding citizens should have their constitutional rights protected — not undermined,” he said. “I believe the United States Constitution grants our citizens the right to carry a firearm – without state government approval.” ajc.com
