More affordable living spaces will be coming to Midtown after an announcement Thursday by the preservation group Easements Atlanta. Work to restore the decades-old Winnwood Apartments complex at 1460 West Peachtree Street has begun in what is described as a “revival project” of the historically significant residential building. Winnwood, built in 1931, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. When the renovation is completed, the property will contain 50 “micro” and one-bedroom units with modern amenities, a press release stated. prnewswire.com
