A federal jury in Atlanta has awarded singer Cardi B $1.25 million in damages as the result of a defamation lawsuit. The GRAMMY-winning rapper, whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar, had sued Atlanta-based celebrity blogger Latasha Kebe who stated that Almanzar snorted cocaine, cheated on her husband, engaged in prostitution, and had contracted a sexually transmitted disease. The jury on Monday found Kebe, AKA Tasha K, liable for defamation, invasion of privacy and intentional infliction of emotional distress. A countersuit filed by Kebe against Almanzar was dismissed. fresnobee.com
