A new colony for Atlanta artists

The Echo Street West project on English Avenue in Atlanta is steadily turning into a significant hub for local artists to display their work, while simultaneously providing indoor-outdoor food, games, and music to the public. The developer, Lincoln Property Company, conceived a thriving “artist colony” for creative Atlantans “seeking space and a sense of community along the Westside BeltLine Connector trail,” officials declared.

Echo Street West is home to 30 artist studios and several installations, including three new murals by Atlanta artists Neka King, Lela Brunet, and Kyle Brooks, according to Urbanize. Part of the complex includes the refurbishment of three former automotive buildings now known as the Westside Motor Lounge that will feature a stage for live music, cabanas, a beer garden, shuffleboard courts, a food truck, and fire pits.
