Sunday, Sep. 18, from 1-4 p.m.

Dogs and their owners are invited to a day of canine frivolity at the Halcyon mixed-use village in Alpharetta in celebration of International Doodle Dog Day, taking place Sunday, Sep. 18, from 1 to 4 p.m. The event will feature a “Pooch Parade,” vendors, free swag, and a best-in-show contest. “Dogs and their families will have a ball when creating dog-themed crafts, dining in on the dog-friendly menu at Cherry Street Brewpub at Halcyon, sampling on puppuccinos and other treats, visiting other dog-friendly vendors such as Barkuterie, and more,” a press release enthused.

Furkids Animal Rescue and Shelter will be onsite for attendees “to meet adorable pups who are searching for their forever family.” The no-kill organization rescues more than 5,000 homeless animals every year and “provides them with the best medical care and nurturing environment” while seeking homes for adoption.
