WIGWAG: Art and music festival returns to Avondale Estates

The city's arts district comes alive

The fourth annual WigWag Art and Music Festival takes place this Saturday, May 31. The free festival, located throughout the city’s arts district will be held in and around the Globe Arts Center at 2833 Washington Street. Over 30 artists and vendors will showcase their work,  primarily on Washington Street between Pine and Olive Streets, in booths along the streets while the bands perform throughout the event.

The Globe Arts Center is located in the heart of the brewery and arts district of Avondale Estates, walking distance from Little Tree Art Studios, where restaurants and local breweries abound near the Avondale Town Green. As well, local food trucks and breweries will be highlighting their menu items for sale, while cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages will also be available for purchase.

In addition, Cat Eye Creative will host a large group exhibition.

Regular admission is free. The event is all-ages, and events for children are scheduled along with the “adult” (use the term loosely) fare.

A limited number of VIP packages are also available for those wanting to splurge. Be advised that these are strictly first come, first served, and are available for advance purchase at $50 each prior to the event.

  • 1:50 - 2:20 — Sid Jer-Dann
  • 2:40 - 3:15 — Token Hearts
  • 3:35 - 4:05 — O KEY
  • 4:20 - 5:00 — Wieuca
  • 5:10 - 6:10 — The Woggles
  • 6:3 0- 7:10 — Puddles Pitty Party
  • 7:25 - 8:25 — girlpuppy
