From the venue:

The Georgia Institute of Technology, Emory University, and the University of Georgia are developing a model solar zoning ordinance to provide county and city officials and other Georgia decision-makers access to best practices and a common baseline from which to work. Community feedback is requested to assist in producing a document addressing multiple scales and types of solar energy systems that can be adopted and adapted.
Public meetings have been scheduled to give all interested parties a voice in the process. We welcome your attendance to provide input and discuss opportunities, concerns, and envisioned outcomes. These meetings will also introduce the Renewable Energy Technical Assistance Program, a USDA funded program at the University of Georgia which provides technical assistance and education to those interested in deploying solar and other renewable energy projects.
