Immigration 101: Smashing the Wall

Tuesday April 9, 2019 05:30 PM EDT
Cost: Free

From the venue:

All are encouraged to learn about immigration in the U.S. from Charles H. “Chuck” Kuck, Managing Attorney at Kuck Baxter Immigration in Atlanta, Georgia. Hint, it’s more than building a wall. Hear about common myths, what DACA is (and isn’t), and why there is no such thing as an illegal person. Chuck will also assist current visa holders to explore pathways to work through the “immigration maze” to obtain work sponsorship (H1B Visa and other options) or a green card.

Chuck was named one of the top 5 immigration attorneys in the world by Chambers & Partners again in 2018, the “Best Lawyer-Immigration” in Georgia by Best Lawyers in 2018 and was previously named one of the “100 Most Influential Georgians” by Georgia Trend magazine.  He has practiced immigration law for 30 years, teaches law at Emory Law and previously at the University of Georgia. He has spoken to numerous legal and business conferences on all types of immigration related topics, has testified in Congress on various aspects of Immigration Law and Immigration Reform, is frequently quoted in the national press, and appears regularly on national and local television and cable news outlets.

Lecture will be held in the Trustee Room on the second floor of the Turner Lynch Campus Center at Oglethorpe University.
