This month: Alex Commins & Todd Prusin and Georgia Grass. Alex Commins is a long-time veteran of bluegrass groups, rock-and-roll bands and regional festivals. Todd Prusin has lent his musical skills to various Atlanta bands. Alex’s acoustic fingerpicking and Todd’s melodic bass have gained this duo a strong following. Georgia Grass has been playing bluegrass festivals and venues throughout Georgia since 1973. Its members – vocal/guitarist Dan Daniel, banjo player James McKinney, and vocal/bass player Niki Portmann – have all been inducted into the Atlanta Country Music Hall of Fame among other accolades. Masks and proof of COVID vaccination will be required, and other COVID restrictions will be in effect. Presented by Atlanta Area Friends of Folk Music (AAFFM).
