Welcome old farmer friends and meet new business owners at the Virginia Highlands Farmers Market (VHFM) on opening day! Strawberries will be waiting for you – strawberry shortcake, smoothies, salad toppers – 🍓🍓🍓 oh my! Joseph E. Reed “The One Man Orchestra” will be performing unique violin arrangements to accompany your shopping and dining experiences. Our hosts, Farm Burger VaHi will have a special meal for dinner with locally produced meats and veggies – dine in-store or at tables in the market space. Educational Chef Anisa will demonstrate a recipe with seasonal market goods – stop by for cooking tips and a *free sample*! A family directed kids activity sheet will be available at the information booth. Once completed, please return to the info. booth to receive a $5 yellow fruit and veggie token.
