THEIR SONGS WORK EQUALLY WELL ON THE DANCE FLOOR OR ROARING OUT THE WINDOW OF A SPEEDING CAR. SINGER RIVER GIBSON DELIVERS VOCALS EQUAL PART SWEETNESS AND GRIT WITH A SONIC EXPRESSION OF SELF-CONFIDENCE. 

FORMED IN SOUTH LOUISIANA ON VALENTINE'S DAY (HENCE THE NAME), LVVRS ARE A GROUP OF YOUNG MUSICIANS TAKING CUES FROM CURRENT ALT POP CONTEMPORARIES AS WELL AS FROM YOUR PARENTS"™ VINYL COLLECTION. THEIR LIVE SHOWS ARE A MASTER CLASS OF THE POWER AND CONVICTION OF MODERN ROCKERS COUPLED WITH THE SONIC DETAIL OF MAJOR POP ARTISTS. 

LVVRS ARE CURRENTLY IN THE STUDIO PRODUCING THEIR DEBUT EP DUE LATER THIS YEAR. UNTIL THEN YOU CAN FIND THE BAND TOURING IN THE SOUTH, RELEASING MORE MUSIC AND CONTENT. YOU CAN ALSO HEAR THE BAND ON TV. SEVERAL OF THEIR SONGS HAVE BEEN PLACED IN MAJOR REALITY SHOWS INCLUDING "THE ULTIMATUM" (NETFLIX), "œLOVE IS BLIND" (NETFLIX), AND "TEMPTATION ISLAND" (USA).

James Cox founded The Mummy Cats in 2020 after literally finding a dead and mummified cat in his friends basement in Nashville, TN. 

Their first release came in 2020 with the song "Wolverine" which blends a multitude of flavors that provides a first taste into their unique songwriting style and abilities. Soon after they were picked up for radio with their song "Leonard". Leonard is a personal dive into lead singer James' relationship with Death Row inmate Leonard J. Young. The two formed an unsuspecting friendship after James accepted a strangers invitation to visit death row at Riverbend Maximum Security Institution in Nashville, TN. 

Since the release of Leonard, The Mummy Cats have gone on to release their debut EP "From The Head" and their first full length album "No Thanks, I'm Just Looking". Both of these releases have been followed up with heavy touring schedules throughout the United States.

The band consists primarily of James Cox and Morgan Liveoak who contribute to guitar, vocals, drums, bass, keys, synth while in the studio. The touring lineup consists of James (Vocals/Guitar) Morgan (Lead Guitar) Jabari Temple (Drums) and about 4 different bass players. 

They believe that "while we are certainly proud of releasing music and connecting with the fans we have, we truly believe our potential as songwriters and performers has hardly been scratched". The Mummy Cats have already written nearly 100 unreleased songs and plan on releasing new material in late 2023.
