Born in Philadelphia, Vivian Green was immersed in Motown classics from an early age, thanks to her music-loving parents. Singing at five, playing piano at eight, and writing songs at eleven, she knew by thirteen that she wanted a professional singing career. Despite her parents’ reservations, she pursued music relentlessly, recording at Boyz II Men’s studio at fifteen and earning her first songwriting credit at seventeen. With a mature voice and talent beyond her years, she performed in jazz clubs and sang with top orchestras and artists like Jill Scott.
