Agua Loves a Monster cruises the sleeping dream and the waking nightmare with lucidity and wobble. Together one actor, various puppets, and an audience-generated soundscape seek out the exiled bad ones. Encountering monsters from dysphoria to disease, displacement to death, actor and audience collaborate to create a ritual container strong enough to hold the question: what if the thing that’s hurting the most is starving for love…?
