Our next Gathering & Jam will be on Sunday, August 18, 2024 from 3pm-6pm and will be at the MoonShadow Tavern in Tucker, Georgia. Our host band will be The Sweet & Salty Blues Band! The legendary MoonShadow Tavern has been the ultimate music venue in the Greater Atlanta area for many years. They are also famous for their great bar food and drinks. They have a great stage and sound system and a large dance floor in front of the stage.
The Sweet and Salty Blues Band joins together the smoldering soulful vocals of Hurricane Red and the gospel inflected preaching style of Dr. Poppa to bring their music straight to you in harmonies that run deep. Add the gritty sax of the good doctor rooted in a half century of playing rock and roll and your heart’s gonna sing and your feet are gonna move.
We will have a jam, so bring your instruments and voices and show us what you’ve got. We will be raffling off VIP tickets to GABBAfest and tickets to the WRFG Labor Day Blues Barbecue, as well as our usual prizes of Cathead Vodka, and CD Packages. Proceeds go toward our Blue Flame Fund to help local musicians in need. This event is free, open to the public and smoke-free.
