Recycled Youth resurrects alternative, punk, rock and pop deep cuts and hits from the late 70’s to 00’s. They reach deep into the vault and pull out favorites that you may have forgotten about; and some you’ve never heard but will want to listen to again and again. This isn’t your dad’s cover band! Unless your dad is in his mid 40’s. Then, yes, this could be your dad’s cover band. But come watch anyway, ‘cause you could use some bonding time.
Sugarfuzz is an Atlanta rock and roll band playing original music that also does an eclectic mix of reimagined songs/hits from the 70’s and 80’s. This is a gut punch of Power Pop Punk adrenaline goodness with no 808 machine autotuned silliness. Just a pure shot of rock Narcan to the heart of Gen X angst and new world frustration. This is music for fans of Replacements, Teenage Fanclub, and Husker Du, with a dab of not too sappy sweetness. This debut album was produced and mixed by Ed Burdell (Magnapop) and the band in Blue Ridge and Marietta, GA. and mastered by Jason NeSmith (Chase Park) of Athens, GA. Frontman Johnny Powell (Hanging Francis, My Rebel Episode) started writing songs with guitarist Greg Kaegen (Chain Poets) and soon had a batch of toons laden with hooks and harmonies. They connected with bassist Kenny Tsao (Marines, Tuba for Jesus) and drummer Gary Spano (Legend of the Giant Squid, Bloody Hells) as a rhythm section and cut basic tracks in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains one Whiskey-grilled weekend last May and finished tracking at the Furies Studios Marietta location over the summer. This record has dirty, bone-crunching Buckcherry riffs and fiery lead guitar, fun and clever urgent lyrics that cry for redemption in the face of the hopeless and lovelorn, and 3 part harmonies overarching it all for a 34 minute 11 song Mad Max ride.
Ether9 is an energetic, head-banging hard rock band based out of Atlanta, GA. The trio blends a unique sound of classic rock and retro punk: delivering messages of rebellion, triumph, and unity.
