The Emperor and the Nightingale, based on Hans Christian Anderson's enchanting fairytale. Set in the Emperor's Ancient palace, where exquisite dancers with painted fans and parasols – and exotic birds color the Oriental gardens, this ballet tells the story of a Princess transformed into a Nightingale by an evil Sorceress.
