Wilder Woods, Buckhead Theater—Needtobreathe frontman Bear Rinehart returns with his third solo set, Curioso, under this alias. My Morning Jacket’s Jim James is one of the participants, and that band’s soulful rocking is a blueprint for what Woods offers. His voice even sounds similar to that of James, which further cements the connection. His music revels in its alt-roots and now with three full discs, he has plenty of great tunes to choose from. Still, it’s likely he’ll feature tracks from his recent project, arguably the best of a really good batch, which includes the sizzling “Devil in My Eyes,” and the shimmering ballad “Wild Fire” with Maggie Rose guesting. — Hal Horowitz
