Celebrating National Poetry Month by promoting literacy and storytelling with the Big Read

Writing Between the Frames: Poetry & Prose in Screenplay Form Inspired by Interior Chinatown by Charles Yu

If your life were a movie, what genre would it be? What stereotypical role do you feel you've played in your life? In this workshop participants play with structure, identity, and self-perception, mirroring the layered storytelling in Interior Chinatown. The screenplay format exposes the roles we unconsciously perform while allowing for both humor and deep reflection.

Theresa Davis, the facilitator of this generative workshop, is a published author and Literary Director of the ArtsXchange.
