About Chef Gerald Lawrence
Chef Gerald (Jerry) Lawrence’s culinary journey began at 15 years old in a family-owned Italian restaurant in Toledo, OH. His passion for cooking later led him to Washington, D.C., where he focused on refining his skills in a variety of diverse kitchens. Now, as a prominent chef at Serena Pastificio in Atlanta, Jerry combines his early experiences with a creative flair, delighting diners with innovative dishes that reflect his rich culinary background.
With locations in the heart of Atlanta and Boca Raton, Serena Pastificio is a sophisticated yet approachable nod to the best of Italy with a focus on coastal seafood and housemade pasta artfully created in the concept’s scratch kitchen. Inspired by the tastes and flavors of Northern Italy, Serena Pasitificio departs from traditional American-Italian cuisine and delivers a menu headlining a seasonal selection of dishes featuring delicate sauces, lighter meats and natural flavors from high quality ingredients. Complete with a scratch kitchen driven by regional flavors, the housemade stuffed and fresh-cut pastas anchor the menu alongside fresh seafood options, chicken, veal and beef entrees, craft cocktails and an expansive wine program.
