Sparks, Tabernacle — The Mael Brothers delivered a master class in showmanship the last time through town a few years ago. Now promoting a fine new album, Mad, that continues their distinctive colorful, fizzy prog-pop with offbeat lyrical concepts (“Do Things My Own Way” could be a commentary on their own eclectic, 50-plus year career), they should be raring to go. It’s likely they won’t be touring much longer, so if you haven’t had the good fortune to experience Sparks’ vibrant concerts live, this is your chance. — Hal Horowitz
