BETWEEN FRIENDS is a lifelong musical collaboration and experiment in creativity between brother-sister duo, Savannah and Brandon Hudson. Raised in Los Angeles, they’ve been creating music together since childhood, nurturing an artistic relationship that defies labels and nudges the boundaries of experimental pop through a glitchy, eclectic sonic environment that echoes the spirit of the glowing blue light of their computer screens — a reflection of their upbringing and the limitless digital landscape that surrounds them. Emerging in 2018 with their breakout EP we just need some time together, BETWEEN FRIENDS quickly became a staple of bedroom pop. The duo’s standout track “affection” resonated globally, amassing over 600 million streams — and capturing the restless essence of their generation. When lockdown hindered opportunities to perform live, Savannah and Brandon instead poured their creative energy into their 2021 mixtape i like when you shine!, a kaleidoscopic homage to the mixtape era. They followed this with the 2022 EP CUTiE, blending futuristic R&B and electronic-pop with surreal lo-fi visuals. That same year, they embarked on a sold-out tour that also included a performance at Governor’s Ball, transforming their online community into a euphoric, three-dimensional experience. In 2023, they released their debut album, I Love My Girl, She’s My Boy. Their long-awaited sophomore album WOW! is due out later this summer on August 1st.
