The Rapture, Buckhead Theatre — The Rapture practically invented dance-punk’s modern blueprint, and their return feels like a crash course in rhythm itself. “House of Jealous Lovers” still has the power to kick-start a party from dead silence. Live, they teeter between punk chaos and disco control, making every song a push-pull of danger and ecstasy. The guitars scratch like alarms, the cowbells hit like warning shots, and the basslines don’t stop. Buckhead Theatre will transform into a sweating, clapping, shouting time capsule circa 2003. It’s nostalgia, sure, but it’s also alive in the present tense. Wear shoes you don’t mind destroying. — Matthew Warhol
