This performance, based on Motherhood Beyond Bars’ book, To the Earth and Back, uses shadow puppetry to explore the emotional impact of parental incarceration and separation. Its mature themes and poignant tone may be more suitable for adults, so we encourage parents to consider these themes when deciding if it’s appropriate for younger viewers.
