2025 Shaky Knees Music Festival (Day Two)

CRITIC’S PICK:
Fri.-Sun, Sept. 19-21
Shaky Knees Music Festival, Piedmont Park — There is something here for almost everyone, although roots music doesn’t seem to have been atop the organizer’s list of artists for this three-day, generally hard rocking, marathon. Still it’s worth checking out the singer/songwriter musings of Lucy Dacus (9/21), the Kate Bush/Tori Amos-influenced Sarah Kinsley (9/19), the psychedelic pop of Hey, Nothing (9/20), the Southern soul of the reformed Alabama Shakes (9/21), Mdou Moctar’s traditional Afro world-beat (9/21) and The Black Keys’ bluesy rock (9/20). Plus, you can’t beat the formidable Weird Al (9/21) for a fun time. It’s a packed lineup that doesn’t cater to an organic mindset but has enough earthy highlights for fans to pick and choose wisely. — Hal Horowitz
