John Fogerty, Hearty Har, Fox Theatre—It’s called The Legacy Tour but Fogerty has been playing his Creedence and solo tunes on the road for so long, that it’s now another marketing term to get oldsters on board. Fogerty also just re-recorded popular CCR songs with his kids, who open tonight’s gig as Hearty Har, in versions that sound so close to the originals you’ll question what the point was. Regardless, if it’s a Creedence hit, and they had a ton of them, you’ll hear it tonight. Fogerty at 80 remains remarkably spry, his voice sounds exactly as you remember but he probably doesn’t have many tours left in him. So if you want to hear “Proud Mary” from the source, this is your chance. — Hal Horowitz

John Fogerty is a true American treasure. As founder of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Fogerty’s career spans 50 years and he is hailed as one of the most influential musicians in rock history.
