Eileen Howard

Vocalist, Songwriter, Recording Artist, Actor

Eileen Howard is one of those rare entertainers with the sensitivity and flair to deeply evoke the human condition in her work. She’s received accolades and awards as a singer, songwriter and actress. Eileen is active on the New York and Atlanta scenes as a noted jazz and blues vocalist.

Scott Yanow, of L.A. Jazz Scene, described her as “An appealing singer with a powerful voice and a joyful personality.” Noted jazz deejay and critic, Fritz “The Night Owl”, labeled her “One of the most creative and swingin’ singers ever to vocalize on the local jazz scene”. She has received accolades from Jazzis magazine, the New York West Side Spirit, All About Jazz, Jazz Quanta, New Jersey Jazz, BeBop Spoken Here, JazzReview.com, Blues Music, The Columbus Dispatch, and many more.

A delightful and spirited singer, Eileen puts on shows that are heartfelt, funny, swinging and full of honest feeling. Her very attractive voice and ability to meaningfully interpret a wide variety of material with insight and humor makes her a superior song stylist who is always a joy to see.

Eileen moved to Atlanta from New York City where she sang at The Iridium, Birdland, Somethin’ Jazz and Don’t Tell Mama, among others. Her monthly Bluesy Brunch at the West End Lounge was an Upper West Side attraction and she also performed monthly at Tomi Jazz in Midtown. As an actress, she performed in TV, film and in several off Broadway shows, culminating in a leading role in Mrs. Schrodinger’s Cat at the Manhattan Rep and the New York International Fringe Festival.
