Little Five Points Parade & Festival Be it zombies, goblins, or ghosts, the Little Five Points Parade & Festival brings to life monsters big and small for a jam-packed day of ghoulish bombast. Set in one of the city’s most vibrant neighborhoods, the family-friendly festival provides food vendors from all around, an art market, and two stages of live entertainment. Free. Netherworld This one ain’t for the faint of heart. Hailed as one of the nation’s top haunted houses, Netherworld is a frightful delight complete with a labyrinth of monsters and demons poised to terrify, shock, and inspire nightmares. $23-$55. Ghastly Dreadfuls The city’s favorite gaggle of ghosts is back for another month of terror-inducing tales, songs, and dances. Weaving together a frightfully fun and visually stunning performance of stories from Halloween past and present, this ghastly gathering proves that fun ain’t just for the wicked. 18+ $20-$35. 8 p.m. Wed.-Sat., Oct. 10-27. Grant Park Halloween Lantern Parade Join the wild rumpus at Grant Park’s annual Halloween Lantern Parade with the Black Sheep Ensemble, Krewe of Grateful Gluttons, food trucks galore, and plenty of lanterns to light up the night sky. Carrie at Plaza Theatre The good people at WUSSY Magazine present Brian de Palma’s campy take on Stephen King’s 1974 classic, Carrie, featuring drink specials, a costume contest, and a demand to get rowdy and interact with the film. SweetWater Scream, a Haunted Brewery Crawl Experience Get your scare on at the SweetWater Brewery for a night of frights and pints.
