NEWS BRIEF: Piedmont Park killings unsolved at one-year anniversary
Katie Janness and Bowie remembered
A bench dedicated to Katie and Bowie's honor was placed inside Piedmont’s dog park
One year has passed since the brutal killing of Katie Janness and her dog Bowie in Piedmont Park, yet Atlanta police and the FBI are still struggling to solve the case. Emma Clark, Janness’ partner of seven years, was among the mourners who gathered in the park Thursday evening to pay tribute to the victims. A bench dedicated in their honor was placed inside Piedmont’s dog park.
“Her senseless death has affected our daily lives in a manner that is hard to describe,” Clark said in a statement issued Thursday. “We are remembering Katie in private today and want to thank all of those who have honored and remembered her by keeping her story alive.” Details: cbs46.com
