VaShawn Mitchell, a prominent figure in gospel music from Chicago, IL, has enjoyed a 25+ year career marked by 10 successful projects, including his latest release, Chapter X. Beginning as a choir director and Music Minister, Mitchell’s journey into solo artistry with “VaShawn Mitchell & Friends” has yielded hits like “Nobody Greater” and “Turning Around for Me.” His accolades include seven Stellar Awards, three GMA Dove Awards, and multiple GRAMMY nominations. Beyond music, Mitchell serves as President & CEO of the Gospel Heritage Foundation, impacting gospel music globally through conferences and educational initiatives. His latest album, Chapter X, honors his late grandmother and showcases collaborations with Jekalyn Carr and Kelontae Gavin. Mitchell’s ongoing work spans touring, mentoring artists, and philanthropic efforts with organizations like Denny’s and Big Brothers and Big Sisters through the Norman Youth & Arts Foundation.
