Jason Pastras Trio
The Jason Pastras Trio delivers modern blues with rock, funk, and psychedelic inflections. The band takes inspiration from the distinctive, funky 70’s sounds of Albert King on Stax and Tomato, Freddie King’s Shelter Records output, and B.B. when he was Completely Well. Those classic blues sounds collide with extended, exploratory jamming, brief bursts of psychedelic experimentation, and songwriting that attempts to amalgamate blues with other soulful genres.
